I Know Where Your Cat Lives

There is a very handsome tuxedo kitty who lives just a few blocks from me. I have never met him, but I know he is there. How? His picture is on IKnowWhereYourCatLives.com.

Cats rule the internet and according to the IKnowWhereYourCatLives.com website there are over 15 million images tagged with the word “cat” on public image hosting sites. Wow. That is a lot of cats. If you are uploading pictures of your cat with GPS metadata attached, your cat could also be on IKnowWhereYourCatLives.com.

And while cats on the internet is all fun, the site could just as easily be called “I Know Where Your Kid Lives” or “I Know Where You Park Your Expensive Car.” Then, it gets a bit scary. So before posting your photos, you might want to remove that pesky GPS metadata. Because really, does the world need to know where your cat lives?
