Professional Experience

Freelance Designer1991 to present
As a freelance designer, I work for a variety of clients in a wide range of capacities. Responsibilities vary greatly with each assignment. In all cases, it is important to work quickly and accurately, often with little direction, and to be adaptable to differing schedules, procedures and environments. Some of the types of work that I have been involved with include:

  • producing advertising, collateral and packaging design,
  • designing magazines, annual reports, newsletters and catalogs,
  • creating linked and interactive Adobe Acrobat files and forms for electronic and web distribution,
  • producing direct mail,
  • preparing highly accurate, electronic files for printing,
  • retouching photography and constructing photographic montages,
  • designing and programming HTML e-mail documents and basic web sites,
  • interacting with and placing content using WordPress and multiple client/e-mail CMSs,
  • creating technical illustrations, charts and graphs.
